Whatever you want to experience on the ocean, we will help get you there!

Most tours are by kayak, but you can make a special request for a Stand Up Paddle Board Coastal Tour.

  • Seals, Birding, Animals

The Dry Salvages are a small outcropping of rocks about 2.5 miles off the coast of Rockport. We take experienced paddlers there on tours and frequently see seals and unique birds in the area. On occasion we also see giant ocean sunfish!

  • Gloucester Harbor/Annisquam River

New in 2023, we are offering scenic tours of Gloucester Harbor and the Annisquam River (when the tide cooperates). Kayak to the best sea glass collecting beach in the North Shore (Ten pound island). See the famous “Dog Bar”, where you can sometimes see the Boston skyline on a clear day. You might also get to see some of the Wicked Tuna boats. Going into the river is tide dependent.

  • Island Tours

Straitsmouth Island (1 mile paddle) and Thacher island (2.5 mile paddle) are open to the public (for a fee) and have beautiful trails, light houses, and are important breeding grounds for many species of birds. Combine a paddle and a hike and see what life might be like as a light keeper.

  • Coastal Paddle Kayak or SUP

Not quite ready for a big adventure, or want to try our stand up paddle boards (SUPs)? This is the trip for you, come see the coastline from the perspective of the water. See what the view is like for the rich and famous, play in the waves, spot some birds, and have a chill paddle with no where to go and no where to be!

  • Thacher Island Camping

A guided paddle to Thacher Island that includes an overnight camping experience on the island's campground! Our guides will lead you there and stay overnight with you or not, as you wish. This trip is great for Scout or school groups, as well as any group of friends or family who want to sleep with the seagulls under the stars! See the Camping on Thacher Island page for more details. This trip is by request, not on a daily scheduled basis (4 people minimum). More info

  • Evening tour

We can’t guarantee a beautiful sunset (depends on the time of year obviously). But the evening is always a little cooler and there is a lot less boat traffic to play frogger around! Come join us for a peaceful evening paddle!

  • Essex/Ipswich River and the Great Marsh

    Essex/Ipswich River

Our most popular custom kayak trip from 2022, this trip can be customized for length, launch locations, out and back or just go with the tide/river. We often see horseshoe crabs and other unique species and lots of beautiful scenery. Email us for more info

  • The Great Marsh/Plum Island Sound

Another new tour for 2023, come explore the largest marsh ecosystem in all of New England. Breeding grounds for many rare bird species and we almost always find horseshoe crabs too! This is a custom tour timing and locations will be tide dependent. Please email us for more info. Great Marsh ecosystem info
