New Classes Coming in Fall 2023!

While North Shore Adventure was founded on the water, we have a deep love of the land too. We have a passion of reconnecting people with nature in the most primal way possible.

Relying on it for life.

  • Custom Nature Courses

We partner with scouts, co-ops, and other organized groups, learn what their goals are and create custom experiential learning courses at public locations throughout the North Shore. These are typically offered during the fall, winter, and spring. Email us with your ideas or for help planning!

  • Foraging Fundamentals

Our ancestors lived by foraging, hunting, and growing our own foods. While no one “needs” to forage or hunt any more thanks to factory farming and modern agriculture; this course will help connect us back with the knowledge our ancestors once knew. Through this course you will learn skills to help us eat healthier, stay connected to Earth, and save money! Click here to see more specifics and dates.

    Animal Tracking Basics

As intelligent animals ourselves, being able to understand and see what our fellow animals are up to is both helpful for hunting but also key to understanding ourselves and seeing the true beauty in the world. As Emerson once said “Nothing is quite beautiful alone: nothing but is beautiful in the whole.” Without understanding the world and animals around us we will never truly appreciate the natural world.

Just as humans leave signs and tracks all around us; so do wild creatures, we just need to look for them. This course will get us to look closer, walk slower, and find evidence of past events and predict future events of our fellow creatures.
